Sid (Yuxin) Guo

Thanks for visiting my profile! I'm currently a Ph.D. student in Accounting at the University of Texas at Austin.
Before returning to academia, I spent six years in the accounting profession, working as a Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) Senior Consultant, an External Auditor, and an Internal Auditor. Alongside my professional experience, I earned a Master of Science in Business Analytics, where I built a strong foundation in data analytics and quantitative methods.
My passion lies at the intersection of accounting and analytics. I'm interested in using rigorous empirical methods to explore interesting questions in financial accounting and auditing, with the goal of producing research that advances both academia and practice. Outside of research, I believe every experience, whether professional, academic, or personal, is an opportunity to learn, grow, and add another chapter to a colorful life.
